Well there was a point in my life where everything seemed to just like fall apart, everything i did would go down the tube, nothing was working for me and for the band, it seemed like there were alot of problems and stuff, and this song is about when someone feels like something is holding them back like a " burning knife" , he wonders if it will ever go away,it feels like he cannot breathe. its really just about when a person hits a path in life where there stuck and seems like theres no way out of the obstacle of life - Carl
